a-ha - Living A Boys Adventure Tale (1985 / 2010)

With the release of their new album Cast In Steel after a 5 year hiatus into early retirement, a-ha are back and firing on all cylinders...

I've been a fan of the group since the third release of "Take On Me" way back in 1985 along with the epic video. I kind of left them on the back burner after their first greatest hits album "Headlines & Deadlines" back in 1990 but then took a new interest after Foot Of The Mountain was released as their "final" studio album back in 2009. Ploughing through their back catalogue I found many lost gems that I can't believe I missed the first time around...

Doing a singles track list seems a bit pointless here. If you even remotely like the band the chances are you've probably got one of their Greatest Hits compilations already. Instead I've decided to mix it up a bit.

Of course there are a few classic singles (some of which were only minor hits) but there are plenty of classic album tracks that in my opinion are just as good, if not better than their more well known work...

Time for a bit of 80's nostalgia for my next post as we head back to the mid 80's for some unadulterated feel good dance from Romford's finest - that's Five Star to those who haven't got a clue who I'm on about...
